Purpose
The GRE General Test evaluates your verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing skills essential for graduate-level programs.
Computer-based
Consists of 6 sections—1 Analytical Writing (Issue & Argument tasks), followed by two each of Verbal and Quantitative reasoning, plus an unscored experimental or research section. The total time is around 3 hours and 45 minutes, including breaks.
