1. Course Overview & Exam Details

Purpose

The GMAT Focus Edition, launched in early 2024, is a streamlined, efficient version of the GMAT exam.
It consists of three sections—Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights each lasting 45 minutes, totaling 2 hours and 15 minutes, plus an optional 10-minute break.

Format

  • Quantitative Reasoning: ~21 algebra & arithmetic questions (geometry removed)
  • Verbal Reasoning: ~23 questions (reading comprehension + critical reasoning)
  • Data Insights: ~20 questions involving table analysis, graphics interpretation, data sufficiency, multi-source reasoning, etc.

Scoring:

Section scores range from 60–90; the total score ranges from 205–805, in 10-point increments.  

Validity & Retakes

Valid for 5 years; you can retake it once every 16 days, up to five times per rolling year and eight times total.
